So it has been a while since opening this project and working on it due to a family member passing away and multiple personal problems. However, I am back to working on this assignment with ECs. This unfortunately means due to lack of time, all the stuff that I had to do during the project is going to be done at the end.

To get started, my game idea is going to be a puzzle game where the levels are the puzzle themselves. The levels will consist of 3x3 tiles that can be moved through a control pillar. The plan is to have the player spawn into a room where these level chunks are and have them solve the correct way the chunks should be placed and rotated. If they manage to solve the puzzle they can move through it and progress to the next level. Below will be some images that i created to get the idea down.

I'm gonna take Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword as a big inspiration towards this project as it was Skyward Sword and the Zelda franchise that first gave me this idea.

The experimental part of this project is the older generation and the moving levels. I want to know why the older generation don't play games as much as much as the younger generation. I got this question From watching my nan play digital versions of physical games such as, colouring in, sudoku etc. I also saw her playing real time waiting town building games. I then saw my dad playing infinite runners and single control games.

This led to me wondering if its because of the control schemes and character movement. So from this i wanted to make a game that could bridge the gap between the older generation and new genres of games. This meant I will have only character movement and if I introduce something new it wont be at the same time as they need to move the character.
