This week we got a new game jam theme for GAM702. The theme for this game Jam is celebration as it fits the festive season, even if we are in lockdown. However, I requested an extension on game jam 3 as I still need to make the reflection video. As for GAM701, everyone is focused on their team project in which I still have no team. So instead I'm going to focus on GAM702.

At the same time I have recently been playing the new Hyrule Warrior's Age of Calamity and it has got me thinking how they turned areas from an open world game into levels for a hack and slash game, while keeping the area look and feel the same as the open world version. In Breath of the Wild (which Age of Calamity is a prequal of) these areas were empty and destroyed, never to be filled with hundreds of enemies. However they managed to do it in Age of Calamity while keeping it similar to Breath of the Wild.

I found this interesting because I have over 250+ hours in Breath of the Wild and remember the feel of the areas that Hyrule Warrior's uses in its levels. I'm also interested in it because I want to level design as a career. I will have to compare the two games and see if they're 100% the same.
