In the second week of the masters degree we were given the task to take one piece of media and merge it with another. We were put into a group with one other person and sent off to do the task.

we decided to take old black and white photos from the 1900s and apply snapchat filters to them. This was the outcome:

Back when these pictures were taken nobody smiled because they took soo long to take, they were also expensive. So they were always formal and taken showing off their wealth. However, now everyone owns a phone or a way to take a photo they're not considered rare anymore and a normal photo is considered boring.

This task in honesty didn't feel like it was related to games design in anyway. It felt like something that we would do in a media course in college and because of this I didn't really enjoy or learn much from it.

Another thing i did this week was program parts of my game jam. I managed to get the boat parts to break over time and allow the player to repair it. i wanted the player to repair the boat parts in small amounts. So the part has 100 health and the player can repair them in intervals of 20.
